Lament to Contradictions by S.H. Onyx

Mind beaten, battered
Heart broken, sliced open
Worn on a chain
By a child with no name

For a while she was quiet
Love was engraved on her arms
The rope that she was bound by
Was holder of subtle charms

The knight in shining armor
He stayed in his book
Funny how she thought of him
After all the things he took

Carrying ideal contradictions
Ornaments of her roots
One added each and every time
She found saviors wearing suits
